About the Event

The Special Needs Community Initiative (SNCI) will be hosting our Second Annual Raise the Roof Family Dance and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Southminster Church in Gastonia, NC from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission to our family-friendly event is $5 per person. This is just a fun night with friends and family so you may come as dressy or as casual as you would like.

About Our Organization

SNCI is a non-profit organization and all proceeds from this event will go to support our mission to create and sustain an affordable co-housing community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our area so that they may live independently in a safe environment that is rich in opportunities for personal growth through our Learn, Work, and Play Programs.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The SNCI has a unique sponsorship opportunity for your business. Your tax-deductible contribution will help make our event a success, but most importantly, you will assist SNCI in our to create and sustain an affordable co-housing community in the Gaston county area for adults with developmental disabilities to live independently in a safe environment that is rich in opportunities for personal growth. By choosing one of the sponsorship options, you can decide how much exposure your business will have as we promote our event. To take full advantage of the sponsorship benefits, your contribution must be received by August 15.

  • Yellow Sponsorship: $1500 – Recognition at all promotional events, table at event to promote your business, logo recognition on event signage, logo recognition on social media, 8 complimentary event tickets
  • Blue Sponsorship: $1000 – Table at event to promote your business, logo recognition on event signage, logo recognition on social media, 6 complimentary event tickets
  • Red Sponsorship: $500 – Logo recognition on social media, company name recognition on signage, 4 complimentary event tickets
  • Green Sponsorship: $250 – Company name recognition on signage, 2 complimentary event tickets

Donation Requests

We are in the process of collecting items for our silent auction. Your tax-deductible contribution will help us raise funds toward our mission and make our event a success. Additionally, your company will benefit from the exposure to those who attend the event. Donors will be recognized on our donor board during the event as well as on the merchandise displayed during the silent auction.

What kind of items can you donate? 

• Arts and Crafts

• Themed baskets (coffee basket, kitchen/cooking items basket, family game night basket, at-home spa basket, etc.)

• Gift certificates from area businesses

• Tickets to events

• Night’s stay at a hotel or airbnb

• Products from local businesses

• Anything else you would like to donate
