What is Cohousing?

According to the Co-housing Association of the United States, cohousing is an intentional, collaborative neighborhood that combines private homes with shared indoor and outdoor spaces designed to support an active and interdependent community life. Shared indoor spaces include a spacious common house with a large kitchen and dining room, laundry facilities, and recreational areas. Shared outdoor spaces include walkways, open spaces, gardens, and parking. Neighbors use these spaces to collaborate in chores and activities to intentionally interact with and assist each other.
